Desi Pasta ? Well yeah, I tried out this new form of pasta and named it as "Desi Pasta".
While doing my weekly grocery shopping, I came across a packet of pasta and decided that I should do some experiments with this. I tried this new dish in totally an Indian style and it turned out yummy. Though it was not as great as you would get in restaurants, but any person who loves spice would really love this.
Ingredients:
200 gm pasta of your choice
1 capsicum
1 tomato
1 onion
1/2 tsp pepper power
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 cup Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
1/2 cup water
Procedure:
Boil the pasta in 2 cups water. Do not boil for too long.
Strain and set side for cooling.
In a wok, fry the onions and tomatoes.
Once they fry, add the ginger-garlic paste and fry got 5 Min's.
To this add capsicum and fry for some time.
Here even carrots, green peas and mushrooms can be added.
To this add the grated cheese and mix properly.
Add salt as per taste.
Now add the boiled pasta, add butter and mix well.
Add 1/4 cup water and simmer for 2 Min's.
Garnish with pepper powder and chilly flakes.
This goes to "ONLY - PASTA, PIZZA AND NOODLES EVENT" organised by Pari and hosted by Jaysri.
