Mango Milkshake is the first thing that comes to my mind in this mango season. In my childhood we used to eat a lot of mangoes which we would get from our ancestral farm. Lots and lots of mangoes we used to get and bury them in a heap of hay in one of the rooms in our house. We always used to prepare juices and jams out of the mango's along with many other dishes.
I love the taste of Alphonso Mango. In Goa we get different varieties of mango's. To name a few are 'Furtad', 'Mankurad', Neelam', 'Ball', 'totapuri' and 'Alphonso'. Alphonso being the king of all mangoes. In Bangalore I found some different varieties of mango namely 'Sindoori,'Badami', 'Raspuri', 'Ratnagiri Hapus', 'Malgoa',etc. I recently learnt that Alphonso Mango is known as Ratnagiri Hapus. Whatever it is, I love mangoes. Lovu lovu, oh my lovu, I love you mangoes... :)
Ingredients:
3 Mango's
1 n 1/2 cups milk
4-5 tsp sugar
Procedure:
Peel and cut the mangoes into small pieces.
Put then in the juicer jar and add milk and sugar.
Start the juicer and if you feel that the milkshake is thick, then add either 1/2 cup milk or 1/2 cup water.
Serve it chilled.
