Holi is the festival of colors and is celebrated throughout
India, but mostly in the North Indian region. We also celebrated Holi today in
a real grand way. We had ordered special organic colors to play Holi because
we did not want our special guests to complain of skin allergy. And yes, we did
not use water to play Holi because we wanted to save water.
We decided to play Holi in a grand way.So we had booked a
resort in the out-skirts of Bangalore. The full day was spent at the resort. Yes
I really felt good when I saw the decorations and the lighting in the open air
hall. All the colors were neatly arranged in large big plates. We had kept the
dress code as white. Because we wanted to fill colors in everyone’s life. A
lot of sweets like ghevar, gulab jamuns,baklava, etc were served. But we
wanted to make this Holi a special event. Almost all of my friends had come
there. We wanted all our friends to
unwind and relax. So instead of serving the traditional “Bhang” we decided to
serve wine and Black Dog Scotch.
Oh, when Black Dog Scotch was served everyone’s eyes started
to twinkle. After drinking a glass of Black Dog Scotch, the entire party
atmosphere had changed. Wow, I could see most of my friends unwind and relax.
Some of the shy ones also came up and were dancing to the beats of “Rang Barse”
busy splashing colors at others.
Some of my friends who had some differences, used this
occasion to resolve all the differences and to embrace each other with lots of
love,joy and affection like the way it was before. All the white outfits which
people had worn turned multi-colored, just like how their plain boring life
was filled with joy and love. In the end everyone thanked us for organizing such
a wonderful event. Thanks to Black Dog Scotch for making it even more eventful.
