Cafe Infinito - A Review

Recently me and some of my friends decided to visit The In Orbit Mall at Whitefield. We were tired after shopping. Imagine a group of ladies loaded with shopping bags in out hands. We were tired and hungry. We spotted Cafe Infinito on the 2nd floor. We were greeted with a warm smile at the entrance by the staff and immediately we were seated at a comfortable location.

The ambiance desired and created in Cafe Infinito is to remove any apprehensions or inhibitions, people can just exist and be. Surrounded by nice quotes on the wall and well lit by hanging lamps, Cafe Infinito gives you everything you need for a great day. The Al-fresco seating with wooden and cane furniture makes it the perfect place for a lovely lunch in the afternoon or starry-eyed evening with a loved one or just a great night out with friends.

We went through the menu and each of us thought of ordering a separate dish so that we can get to taste and eat a variety of things. We started with some drinks. I ordered Virgin Mojito which is a perfect thirst quencher. My friends ordered strawberry drink and mango-passion fruit smoothie.

We first asked the chef as to what is special here. We thought of trying the Egg Decker Florentine. It was filled with surprises. A layer of egg beneath which was a layer of baked potato and much more. This is a must try if you wanna try something which you never had before.

Soon we noticed a pizza oven. The chef started demonstrating to us the procedure of baking world class wood fired pizza. We had a slice of it and it was really one of the best pizzas in the world.

We then returned to our seats and started some girly chit-chats and recent gossips. What will women do when they are together? Yup, talk, talk and talk :)

We returned to our seats and saw a complimentary bread basket with some freshly baked breads. That was a real surprise.

We orderd Arugula, goat cheese crumbs, red wine poached pear & balsamic salad. This salad was fresh and crisp.

We ordered a pasta - Penne with smoked cherry tomato sauce & broccoli florets  and chicken lasagna. Each of these were awesome. I being a lover of Italian food, I enjoyed the pasta. The Lasagna was heavenly and I feel that one should visit this place if they are Lasagna lovers. They serve the best Lasagna in Bangalore.

I felt like trying a "Meaty Pizza" as mentioned in the menu. I orgered Peri peri chicken pizza which was garnished with roasted garlic and bocconcini and red onions. This was just mouth-watering and left me craving for more.

My friend ordered Chicken Burger and a veggie friend ordered a veg burger. The burgers seemed to be large, specially the patty which was well-cooked. This was served with some fries and salad. It is worth every penny.

Chicken Skewers were yummy.   They smelled awesome and left me feeling hungry again. This was well paired with some sparkling wine which my friends loved.

The Talapia fish with Risotto was unique but tasted good. It was made with Basa fish which is my favorite among the varieties of fish available. 

Since I am a non-vegetarian I tried all the non-veg stuff. But Cafe Infinito has great veg stuff for vegetarians too. My vegetarian friends had a great time and I too tried some of the veg dishes. Loved the Paneer wrap and the veg pizza.

The cuisine is primarily Cafe-ish with influences from Italy but not limited to it. This forms the major inspiration to create an offering that exists from breakfast to desserts and drinks for a post dinner offering. The cafe looks small, but can comfortably accommodate 72 people. So if you wanna give a nice surprise party you can always head on to Cafe Infinito and have an awesome time.
