During those days when I return home tired from office and when I don't have any stamina to cook, I blend some delicious smoothies. They are filling and nutritious. Today I thought of trying a smoothie with Plums. I thought of mixing plum, bananas and chia seeds for the nutritious value. The idea of adding plum to it came to my mind because of the contest announced by
KitchenAid at the
Indian Food Bloggers Meet. The smoothie is also going as my entry to the
UrbanDazzle contest at IFBMeet which will be held next week.
The smoothie became delicious. I would recommend this as a great desert smoothie which is a healthy alternative to normal high calorie desserts. I feel this smoothie will look good if served in
Ocean Fine Line Glass available at UrbanDazzle.
Ingredients: Serves: 2
2 small Bananas
1 plum
1/2 tsp chia seeds
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup milk
Procedure:
Soak the chia seeds in 2 tablespoon water. After 30 Min's you will notice that they have a whitish layer on top of them. They are ready for use.
Chop the bananas and plum into small pieces. Discard the plum seed.
Mix all the ingredients except chia seeds and blend together using a blender.
In a serving glass add the soaked chia seeds and pour the smoothie over the chia seeds.
