The United Sports Bar And Grill - A Restaurant Review

The United sports bar and grill is a place for friends to unite, to have fun and to enjoy the best of sports. It is a place for like-minded individuals to gather and cheer for their favorite teams, share a smile and swear over winning, losing and enjoying the gourmet fiesta around....

This is a 136 seater restaurant and is a treat for all sports fanatics. The place comes alive during a match where fans scream their lungs in support of their favorite team. You can choose to sit anywhere you wish, either outside and enjoy the cool breeze or in the center and watch sports with your friends or in any cosy nook and corner and enjoy the music.

Some key design features of the outlet includes Stick of fame, Pool Table, Giant Projector Screen and Community table. The place is full of sports pictures. Apart from the Giant Projector Screen, there are small LCD TV's around the restaurant where you can watch your favorite sport. So if you don't like to watch sports then you can play pool with your friends.

The ambiance at The United Sports Bar and Grill just sets the mood right for the perfect evening out with loved ones. 

The united sports bar and grill is a full service, casual all-day dining bar that predominantly features multi cuisine to suit the taste buds of diners across the region. In addition to this, there is also a strong emphasis on creative cocktails. I did not try the cocktails but the mocktails were not much impressive. 

For the starters we were served with exciting and juicy grills, pizzas and pastas to exotic salads. The food is a spread of contemporary international flavours ranging from Oriental, Mexican, Italian to delectable Indian Cuisines. I liked all the non-veg starters. A variety of starters like Olive rubbed chicken skewers,Sesame chicken lollies, Grilled fish steak , Zucchini- spinach cigar roll, with Mexican salsa, Barbecue Pork Ribs, Chicken shish tauk were served. I did not try any veg starters as I was filled with a lot of non-veg startes. The chicken peri-peri kebab's and Olive rubbed chicken skewers were delectable. 

We tried some bite-sized burgers and pizzas which were specially made for us, so that we can taste a lot of things here. The United Pizza and Manchester Supreme Veg Pizza were crispy and were topped with a variety of toppings. Three types of burgers were served - Mexican Veg Burger, Gourmet Chicken Burger and Champions Beef Burger. I did not taste any Beef or Pork as I don't eat them and hence I did not review any beef or pork dishes. 

The United Sports Bar and Grill serve their food in a unique way. The fire cracker prawns grabbed everyones attention as soon as the cracker was lit. It is a perfect way for a celebration like birthdays or anniversaries. Even a nice dish to have when you are proposing someone... just surprise them and they can never say NO ;) I was quite impressed by this dish not just for presentation but also for the taste of those juicy deep fried prawns.

For the main course we ordered Goan Prawns Curry, Thai Red Curry, Prawns Sizzlers and Veg Sizzlers. The sizzlers and Thai curry was good, but the Goan Prawns Curry though tasty lacked the "Goan" tinge in it. It had a combination of spices which did not get the Goan taste into the curry. It was served with Jasmine Rice. I being a Goan by birth could find that the curry that was served was little different in taste than the authentic curry that is prepared in Goan houses. All the dishes in main course are sufficient for two people.

We were almost full during the review process by tasting variety of food. But then came the yummy desserts. There is always some place for desserts. The Apple Crumble and Chocolate Brownie both were winners in this category.

They believe in making every meal special, be it a weekday or weekend. There are some special offers going on here throughout the week. Monday Buzz to wipe away your Monday blues with Rs.100/- off on Indian made foreign liquor, Fab Tuesdays where you get 50% off on food after 8.00 PM. International Lunch Buffet priced at Rs.450/- plus taxes, Happy Hours where you get a drink free on another drink between 4PM and 8PM everyday. With Live DJ playing your favorite music, you can be sure to walk away with a smile on your face. A meal for two can range between Rs.1500 to Rs. 2000(incl. of tax).
