Chocolate Fudge For Thanksgiving

My hubby had got some chocolate morsels during his last trip to The USA. I used these today to make delicious chocolate fudge. I had attended a chocolate making class last year as I love to eat chocolates. I eat a chocolate everyday after my meals. Thanks to the sweet tooth. Today I felt like making chocolate fudge and you can try this fool-proof, easy recipe for the upcoming Thanksgiving weekend.

The chocolate fudge was very easy to prepare using condensed milk. I used Amul Mithai Mate. You can use any type of condensed milk though. The shine on the fudge is due to the butter that I used. The fudge was yummy and just melted in my mouth.

My little one was the first to try and was following me throughout the photo shoot to bite through some of them. Her first comment was that it tasted like Cadbury. My hubby tried the fudge next. He too said that it tasted more like Dairy Milk Chocolate. Now my hubby can't resist his temptation and keeps on checking the fridge to have more of it. Late in the evening he again said that the fudge is too good and I just love it when he loves the food that I make. He also told me that I can use his share of dark chocolate to make some dark chocolate fudge. A big slab of Lyndt dark chocolate 60% Cocoa is lying in my fridge and I am soon going to try a recipe using that.

Ingredients:                                              Serves: 6, Prep. Time: 20 Mins
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels / chocolate chips
1/2 cup condensed milk
10-15 chopped pistachios/almonds
2 + 1/2 tbsp butter

Procedure:
Keep the serving tray ready by spreading a butter paper. Apply 1/2 tbsp butter to this paper.

Melt the choco chips on low flame using double boiler method.
For the double boiler method, keep a utensil filled with water and let the water get boiled. Keep another pan over the boiling water and melt the choco chip while continuously stirring. Ensure that not even a drop of water gets in the melted choco chips.

After the choco chips melt, add condensed milk and mix. Add butter and chopped pistachios and mix well.

Spread this mixture in the serving tray and after cooling refrigerate it. You can feel free to lick the left over chocolate fudge from the pan :)

Cut into pieces and serve after cooling. I know I need not tell you to eat immediately after serving as they will be finished in minutes.
