Cauliflower Stir Fry

Cauliflower Stir Fry is one of the easiest recipes using cauliflower. This recipe is quick and is easy to prepare. You can prepare this recipe during the morning rush hour and pack it for tiffins with phulkas or bread. You can even make a roll with the phulka/chapati and use this stir fry as a stuffing for the roll. This will ensure that your kid can easily eat this during the lunch break in school. I love to prepare this during the morning rush hour when I have to pack 3 lunch boxes for me and my family.

I normally prepare my family favorite rava fried cauliflower or tawa fried cauliflower. But this time I tried a new recipe and my family loved this too. I kept the spice levels low as my kid prefers low spice level. You can increase the quantity of chilly powder.

Ingredients:                                         Serves: 2, Prep. Time: 20 Min's
2 cups chopped cauliflower florets
1 medium onion chopped
1 small tomato
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp garam masala(optional)
1 tablespoon lemon juice(optional)
2 tablespoon oil
Salt to taste

Procedure:
In a pan, add oil. When the oil heats, add chopped onions and fry till onions turn pinkish.
Next, add chopped tomato and fry till they turn mushy or bit soft.
Next add the cauliflower florets and fry for 10 Min's.
Next add the chilly and turmeric powder and mix well.
Add garam masala if you prefer.
Add lemon juice if you prefer a tangy spicy taste.
Add salt to taste, mix well and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

Note:
I prefer the cauliflower a bit crispy, so I fried it for less time.
For cleaning cauliflower, just cut the florets and immerse in warm water to which salt has been added.
After 20 Min's, drain the water and wash the cauliflower. This ensures that the worms(if any) are out of cauliflower.

Increase chilly powder quantity to 2 tsp if you prefer a bit more spicy taste. I kept spice level low, as my kid prefers less spicy food.

Addition of garam masala and lemon juice is optional.
