Amlas or Indian Gooseberry are in season now and there are
lots of recipes that you can make with amla. You all know the health benefits
of amla. They are rich in vitamin C, Vitamin B complex and are rich in anti-oxidants,
calcium and phosphorous. Consumption of amla boosts immunity. According to Ayurveda
application of amla juice to hair is known to maintain hair colour and promotes
hair growth. The fruit is sour in taste.

Amla juice is also used in treatment of diabetes, heart
diseases and various types of cancers. Consumption of amla in any form gives
number of health benefits. The juice recipe that I am sharing with you today
can be made and stored in fridge for 2-3 days. Consume 2 tablespoon twice a day
to reap the health benefits of amla. My hubby drinks ½ glass of amla juice
everyday. You can dilute it with water and drink it.
Ingredients: Prep. Time: 30 Mins, Makes: 2 glasses
250 grams amla/15 amlas
1 cup water
Procedure:
Wash and chop the amla fruit into small pieces. Discard the
seeds.
Blend the mixture in a mixer or hand blender by adding water.
Pass it through a sieve or a thin muslin cloth. Discard the
pulp and preserve the juice.
Note: If you wish, you can mix some lemon juice and drink this juice.
