Ok, coming back to today's recipe :) you can pack this sandwich in the snack box or serve it for breakfast. Evening snacks can be made healthier with this sandwich and a glass of fresh fruit juice.
Ingredients: Prep Time: 30 Minutes, Serves: 8
6 slices of bread
1 cup carrot, grated
1/ cup green peas, boiled
5 garlic cloves, finely chopped
2 green chilies, finely chopped
½ teaspoon black pepper powder
1 teaspoon chaat masala
2 tablespoon grated cheese for garnish
Salt to taste
Procedure:
For making the sandwich filling:
1) Heat a kadai and add 1 tablespoon oil. After the oil gets heated, add finely chopped garlic and finely chopped green chilies. Stir and saute till you can smell the strong smell of garlic.
2) Now add the grated carrots and boiled green peas and let this cook for 10 minutes.
3) Add black pepper powder and chaat masala and stir. Add salt to taste and mix everything well.
Switch off the heat. The filling is ready.
4) Now to prepare the sandwich, take a slice of bread and spread some filling evenly on the slice.
5) Garnish with grated cheese.
6) Close this with another slice of bread.
7) You can grill this sandwich or have it as it is. I have grilled it using a panini grill press.
Note: You can cut the edges of the sandwich bread.
Addition of grated cheese if optional.
