We GSB’s do not eat fish on certain days like monday, thursday and saturday and dedicate them to certain Gods. Like monday is considered to be Lord Shiva’s day, thursday for Lord Datta Maharaj, friday to the Goddess like Durga or Kamakshi and saturday to Lord Hanuman. During these veg days we prepare variety of veg dishes.
Subzis,
dals of different types and sides like
rava fried veges or pakodas and salads. I want all my readers to know that Goans don’t just eat anything. We also eat veg dishes and have plenty of veg dishes in our Saraswat community.
Kids love this dish because of the sweet taste of pumpkin. Do try this recipe. Also try Kelyachi bhaji recipe.
